Glenna Norvelle
Founder & Principal
Glenna is a respected and long-time contributor in the Colorado community. Her expertise and passion are in developing leaders with a special focus on emerging leaders. She is a talented facilitator with an ability to lead teams with divergent perspectives to a shared purpose and plan. Having coached and mentored teams and individuals for over 25 years, she is adept at moving people quickly towards their vision. She has extensive experience in organizational development, strategic planning, fund development, marketing, and community relations.
Glenna has demonstrated success in both corporate and not-for-profit organizations achieving critical strategic goals. Glenna launched GForce Strategies in 2016, with a mission to support organizations and people to thrive.

Prior to GForce, Glenna served as the President and CEO of the Colorado Education Initiative whose mission is to accelerate educational improvement and innovation throughout Colorado. Glenna led the organization through strategic alignment and planning ensuring a strong foundation from which to continue the organization's position as a leader in the Colorado education community.
Glenna served as the President and CEO of Denver Kids, Inc for 6 years, during which time she led the organization in developing their 2020 Vision and Promise - a bold vow to increase the Denver Public Schools graduation rate by the year 2020. During her time, Denver Kids experienced significant growth increasing from a $1.2 mm to a $3.5mm budget leading to an increase in the number of students served - doubling from 700 to 1,400 annually.
Glenna served as a consultant to Denver Public Schools and led the Manual High School re-design process before joining then Superintendent Michael Bennet as a Special Assistant to the Superintendent. She was instrumental in developing school/community partnerships for the District including such initiatives as the City/DPS Collaborative Partnership, Youth Mentoring Collaborative and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Partnership.
Glenna founded two non-profits including Colorado Youth at Risk, serving nine years as executive director. Prior to this she worked in marketing, first at HBO and then Fox Sports Net as Director of Marketing and Promotions.
Glenna has served on multiple boards and committees including the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Partnerships, Family Star Early Montessori and Head Start, Denver Public Schools Mill Levy Oversight Committee, the Rocky Flats Environmental Monitoring Council and most recently Comeback Yoga, an organization focused on two of her passions - yoga and the well being of veterans. In 2014, she was named a Livingston Fellow, a prestigious fellowship under the Bonfils Stanton Foundation and in 2016, the Colorado Women’s Chamber named her one of Colorado’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women.
Michael Donahue
Principal& Facilitator
With over thirty years of program design and delivery, a background in psychology and specialization in group dynamics and dialogue, Michael is an expert resource for any learning initiative. He is the Co-Founder and the Co-Director of Critical Mass Leadership Education, Inc. (known worldwide as Boldleaders), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to guiding people in having an experience of impacting and influencing their environment.
Michael has led programs ranging from conflict resolution, leadership development, civic engagement, diversity & inclusion, organizational management, effective communication, and project design & implementation. His work has spanned across four continents and has reached people from twenty two different countries.

Michael has developed and led single and multi-day training sessions with school districts, corporate groups and not-for-profits, including projects with the U.S. Department of State. He been a Key Note Speaker for several industries from education to finance. Michael has been a coach/mentor to several successful entrepreneurs and consultants as well, extending training and facilitation of effective communication material to thousands of people. Michael is also the creator of a unique and dynamic-action oriented process titled the “Elemental Human Resources”, informed by those resources we all share, yet, over time, begin to adapt ourselves to disemploy.
Michael's passion for the transformational power of conflict has led him to work with people from The States, as well as the Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and both Western & Central Europe. He has managed to work his way through three passports.
Michael claims that since he has spent much of his time with young people from around the world, he is in real touch with the Millennial Generation (spanning four continents) and is old enough to have spent real time with Generation X. Michael does his best to avoid the fact he is a Baby Boomer himself. He is the proud father of two GenXer’s and two Millennials, plus a grandfather of three Generation Alpha. He is also proud to be labeled the “guy married to Glenna.”
Michael has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Ying Cai Award (“One who honors learning”) by the staff and administration of a Denver high school and the World Leader Causing World Leaders Award by a school’s student council. Michael was named a recipient of the Minoru Yasui City of Denver Award for Community Service and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement prize by Colorado Youth At Risk. Michael is co-author of the Ten Minute Manager, a guide for mentors of young people and the Mind the Gap Facilitator’s Guide, co-authored with the brilliant thought partner, Brady Rhodes. Along with Brady and other co-collaborators, Michael developed a comprehensive training platform for facilitators that can be found at www.boldleaders,org. He is currently working on a guidebook for those looking to manage, mentor, mother or simply do most relational things well, titled: “What I learned from Others You May Want to Steal from Me.”

Lauren leads with the belief that wherever there is a problem, there are already people imagining solutions. When we imagine effective strategies together, we attend to more needs.
With over 5 years of experience providing versatile support to high-profile individuals and hard-working professionals, Lauren is adept at inventing collaborative, adaptive solutions and managing projects from concept to completion. Leading with her keen artistic and creative sensibility, Lauren is experienced in developing innovative systems, implementing highly-functional processes, delivering value-oriented and culture-focused brand design, and providing versatile operations support to organizations, individuals, and business teams.

In addition to working with GForce Strategies, Lauren provides operational, administrative and project support to Elevate Momentum, a consultancy firm located in Denver, CO that serves small-to-medium business, education and non-profit organizations. Lauren works with both GForce and EM by providing high-level project support, conducting research on emerging trends in the consulting industry, designing and implementing functional operational systems and overseeing branding and marketing efforts, including the design of the website you are currently looking at. Lauren has also worked with GForce & EM to provide recruitment support to organizations and businesses.
Previously, Lauren was fortunate enough to engage with Disruptive Partners based in Atlanta Georgia, designing and executing operational systems and automation processes and providing service development, grant writing support and strategic thought-partnership with the founder and CEO Anashay Wright. During her time working with Disruptive Partners, Lauren also worked in partnership with TNTP to recruit, select and onboard 20 members of a community-based advisory committee in San Antonio, Texas (“The Real CEOs of SATX”), including the design of external marketing assets, deployment of a full-scale recruitment campaign and co-design of four workshop sessions with participants.
Prior to working with GForce Strategies, Lauren cut her teeth on branding, design and marketing working with Tafari Wraps, a mother-daughter owned business based out of Boston, MA whose mission is to facilitate the art and fashion of African Head Wrapping and restore the dignity of those seeking healing through their bold, masterfully crafted home décor, wearable goods and educational programming. During her time working with these powerful women, Lauren conducted market research, and designed assets and social media content with a strong focus on the brand aesthetic, culture and values, ultimately improving brand awareness and interest across an array of social media platforms.
Lauren is a proud graduate of Denver School of the Arts and alum of the American Youth Leadership Program (Boldleaders), co-founded and co-directed by her father, Michael. She completed her studies in the dramatic arts at The Juilliard School, where she received her BFA, and went on to establish a burgeoning (and continuing) career in film & TV where she has been fortunate enough to work extensively with creative professionals in fast-paced environments and utilize her creative eye in her work with consultants, organizations and brands.
